Settenah A. Wright-Founder & President

Settenah A. Wright is a lifelong Roxbury, MA resident. She has been a Boston Public Schools (BPS)-Bilingual Education educator for over twenty years, including a former teacher role & director role at Madison Park Technical Vocational High School. Today, Ms. Wright is an English as a Second Language Teacher for Early Education grades. She has also held a role as an adjunct professor of English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) at Roxbury Community College. In the past, Settenah worked as a semi-private Adult ESL Teacher in Puerto Rico. Settenah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Communications from Northeastern University, a Master of Arts Teaching English as a Second Language degree from Simmons University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Education Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education (Class of 2025). She is the mother of one adult daughter, Nia, and enjoys reading, watching documentaries, dining out with friends and taking care of her cat Macho.

Karla Bodden graduated from Madison Park Technical Vocational High School in 1987. She was a Boston Scholar receiving a full scholarship to Boston University. After a short leave from BU, she returned and explored the possibility of joining the FBI while pursuing her master’s degree in criminal justice. Due to hiring freezes after multiple interviews with the agency, she remained working in property management where she felt led to serve families in need.
Karla is an experienced and caring Real Estate Practitioner working in the field of affordable housing since 1991. She has worked for many of the largest property management companies in the Boston area, where she has had an opportunity to help many people in need of housing. She is also a licensed life insurance agent and financial coach. She recently started her non-profit to help people in need, recently sponsoring twenty-five students in need with backpacks and school supplies.

Adria J McFarlane is a 1997 graduate of Madison Park Technical Vocational High School. She is an accomplished medical administrative assistant with extensive experience in coordinating health care services and managing patient interaction within a medical environment. Adria is highly organized with top customer service skills. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies and Ongoing Professional Development.

Julia Hollingsworth-Communications Director

Madison Park Vocation: Communications Design
Julia C. Hollingsworth, is a 1998 solitarian graduate of Madison Park Technical Vocational High School. She holds a BFA in graphic design from Mass College of Art. From 2010 -2012 Julia held a position as Public Relations Officer for a Non-Profit organization called National Association of Barbados Organizations Inc. (NABO). She later held the Vice Chairperson position from 2012-2014. In Boston Julia became a member of the Barbadian Cultural Committee of Boston inc. (BCCB). She held the following positions; Public Relations Officer, 2014-2016; Vice President, 2016-2018; President, 2018-2022. From 2010 – Present Julia is founder and owner of Ju Ju’s Old Fashion Barbadian Treats.
Julia is a proud mother of three wonderful children; Sheldon 20, Chentel 18 and Michael 8 years old. She prides herself in being a strong devoted leader and team player. In this present day Julia holds a background in public services, customer service and community outreach.

Marv Neal, a proud graduate of Madison Park High School in 1989, honed his passion for music as an active member of the school's music program. Since then, he has made significant strides in both the media and nonprofit sectors. As the CEO and President of Urban Heat Media, Marv leads an innovative company that is at the forefront of urban media landscapes. In addition, he serves as the President of 365DAD, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering fathers all year round. Through his work, Marv Neal has demonstrated a commitment to uplifting his community and providing valuable resources and representation.
